Minaret University Foundation Receives 100 Laptops

It is a new chapter in digital transformation at Minaret University Ikirun, as it has recorded another significant milestone in its journey toward academic excellence, technological advancement, and global competitiveness with the receipt of a donation of 100 laptop computers from the New Energy Services Company Empowerment Foundation (NESSCO Foundation) on Friday, 29 May 2026.
The donation, described by the Foundation as its first formal intervention project, was presented in recognition of the critical role technology plays in modern education and the urgent need to equip students and educators with digital tools for learning, innovation, and leadership in the twenty-first century.

The NESSCO Foundation was established to channel the corporate social responsibility efforts of New Energy Services Company Limited into impactful initiatives focused on education, human capital development, innovation, and sustainable societal advancement. The formal handling-over ceremony of the donated computers was held at the National Headquarters of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at, Nigeria at Ojokoro, Lagos and was formally received by Chairman Board of Trustees of Minaret International University Foundation, Alhaji Azeez Folorunso Alatoye represented by the Naib Amir, Alhaji M. A. Bankole and the Missionary In-Charge, Maulvi Adnan Tahir. Other members of the Minaret International University Foundation present include the Corporate Director, Alhaji Musa Lakunle-Bello as well as the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdur-Rahman Oladele Abdullah. Other distinguished administrative members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Nigeria were also in attendance.

Their presence underscored the strong institutional support behind the University’s vision and highlighted the collective commitment of the Foundation to Minaret University, Ikirun to providing quality higher education rooted in excellence, character, service, and innovation.
